Just two small town girls, living in a lonely world Hey, it’s Cassandra! Did you know Kennedy and I have spent a weekend every summer at our childhood homes since 2013?! Always pepper partners in volleyball, I first invited Kenn out for a weekend at Adams Lake the summer before grade 10, and we have been inseparable ever since. Each year we plan a weekend at Adams Lake (my childhood home) and at Chase (Kenn’s childhood home).... Those times together have helped us realize how much we have in common - our connection to our families, our sense of community, and our true enjoyment of spending time in nature. Swipe to see some throwback pics of our lake weekends throughout the years! 2nd Pic: paddle boarding in Chase in 2019 3rd pic: a pre-grad camping weekend at Adams Lake before an infamous birthday party in 2014 4th pic: being (literal) water babies on Adams Lake in 2013 Check out our latest episode of the BCP for details on our experiences growing up in small towns

Words of Wisdom One of our biggest takeaways from our conversation with the Creative Director of @daubanddesign, Lexi Soukoreff, is that people who are not in your industry often make the best mentors; they provide an outside perspective and encourage you to try different approaches. She reminds us to cherish the people you meet along your path, as you never know when their advice will be applicable to you. Going beyond mentors, your education, your hobbies, your extr...a-curricular activities, your part time job - all of the moments in your life can teach you lessons that will help you lead a successful career. Our discussion on mentorship and experience with Lexi begins at 21.10 on Episode 12 of the Boss Chick Project. Download, review & subscribe!
