Let’s talk candle care. Please read these important points about your candles. From us and any Other candle company. -cut wicks to 1/4 of an inch before each and every burn. ... - burn for 3-4 hours and blow out/snuff/dip your candles/wicks. -Never leave candles unattended -always burn candles on a safe counter/table away from curtains, children, and pets. Dough bowl candle: -cut wicks/little buds off before each burn. -these bowls are all imperfect, hand carved and unique in their own way. We do our utmost best to pick and pour bowls that will last. - burn for at least 4 hours or until wax is fully melted along top layer to avoid wax funneling. -turn candles off (blow/snuff/or wax dip) after 4 hour mark. This will preserve your candle and candle fragrance. (When people say why can’t I smell my candle any more?? My first questions are:do you cut your wicks? And how long was it burning ?) Not only is a higher wick unsafe but it burns your candles too hot. Producing more soot, burning of fragrance too fast and killing those burning hours. -wood is a tricky product as wax melts it sometimes can seep into the wood causing a leak. Please burn on a safe counter/ and or table. You can use wood filler or tape to cover and minor leaks or holes. Again we do out utmost best to provide you with the best bowl. Welcome to The Candle Barn. We are a small business new to Grey County. Family owned and operated. My name is Kay and my husband is Jay, we are the owners of The Candle Barn. We hand pour and make our 100% all natural soy candle line right here in our home. What sets us apart? ... I have a love and Joy for candles. They are a wonderful added accent for your home, giving that warm cozy feel. It’s amazing to me how a certain smell can bring you so much comfort. With that, and the want in our community for local candles, we decided to open up our own shop. What sets us apart is our unique shopping experience. Our home/farm is home to many animals and out in the country. With the craziness in the world, I wanted to give our customers a unique, homey, safe, and fresh shopping experience. What do I mean by fresh? I mean, a breath of fresh air .. being away from the hustle and bustle of the big stores, enjoying the company of some animals and scenery of nature. Not only is our shopping experience different, but our products are as well. Our products are 100% all natural soy. So natural you could eat it and absolutely not tested on animals. This makes our candles a very clean burning healthier Candle. We also offer a unique candle called our dough bowl candle. These are hand carved wooden bowls that we have turned into gorgeous candles. Let’s go one step further, our dough bowl candles will be available to refill in our refill program. Pick a new scent, bring your bowl back and we will re-fill it for you. How cool is that ?
