Emerging or discipline-transitioning women artists in theatre and media arts are invited to apply to The Cayle Chernin Awards (10th Annual)! Open categories are... Theatre: Development and Media Arts: Production. Each award is a $2000 cash prize with access to a mentor via CSARN - Making Experience Count - Supporting Senior Artists. Past award recipients include Artist Producer Training graduates Andrea Scott and Susanna Fournier. Apply by April 2:

The deadline for the Equity Showcase Cayle Chernin Awards applications is Friday, April 2nd, 2021. Artistic & Executive Director, Kevin McCormick and CCA Founder, Dwight Mcfee are looking forward to reviewing all this year's applicants and are excited to see the new mentorships the award will bring. The Cayle Chernin Award is now one of the largest awards in Canada for empowering women in media and theatre arts.... CSARN provides a paid mentor to each of our Cayle award recipients. The mentorship has proven invaluable to our winners. The past mentor list reads like a who's who of Canadian film and theatre, including such high profile artists as: Juno nominated & Gemini Award-Winning: Jani Lauzon Award-Winning Writer, Director, Producer: Penny Eizenga Academy Award-nominated Director: Atom Egoyan National Society of Film Critics Award Winner: Guy Maddin #CCAwards2021
