Made it out to @maybelle_farm near Saskatoon to make arrangements in pumpkins with my Saskatchewan flower friends! I was hoping to catch one more suntan before summer ended...but it was smoky here too! #underthefloralspell #localflowers #pumpkin #flowerfriends #saskatchewan

Ive been eyeing up this shack for a few years now. My grandparents all had wooden buildings on their farm. My husbands family farm is metal buildings. I really missed not having that wood element! I wanted it to cure garlic and onions in. Hubby thought it should be at the Coulee Creations gardens so who knows what other magic we can do with it! Its actually a fire pit gazebo to keep you sheltered during those cold winter days. It has slatted floors and as you can see a chimney. I just love it! #wood #gazebo #shed #gardening #dreaming

I love concerts -especially when it comes to @dwightyoakam. Since 1995 I havent missed a concert when hes come to Edmonton-I even was able to attend one at the @opry in Nashville! I am grateful tonight for-the opportunity of @lyle_lovett hosting Dwight for this online concert series. It was great to listen to the both of them! #countrymusic #concert #fridaynight

A few of the extras flowers before the frost. Some of these have been sitting in the cool barn for a week. So I am curious to see how they last. The colours I put together didnt go as planned and I was hoping to mix the cool and warm tones together seamlessly buuuttt didnt quite turn out as I had hoped. Im sure some dahlias would have fixed that! #lastoftheflowers #seasonalfloweralliance #seasonalflowers #localflowers

It's that time of year!! Taking orders for pasture raised lamb . Our lambs have been raised out on luscious green pasture all summer. The flavour is milder than New Zealand lamb. Only $210/animal + cut & wrap (approximately $140 depending on the cuts you get). It's a great amount of meat for that price! Not sure what to get? Basics I like to get are Roasts, Chops and Stew. Talk to Aaron st Diamond 7 Meats and he can recommend what is best for you! You can order half or whole lamb Click here to order https://forms.gle/xXtzinQaQznakeaT9

Spent the last few days in #yyc at the Sustainable Flowers Workshop. One of the interesting sessions was about colour put on by @cultivatedbychristin. These flowers were grown locally (AB,SK& BC) I was drawn to this bean pot as my vessel choice and realized the cones from the echinacea matched it perfectly. Thank you to @cultivatedbychristin for capturing this day perfectly #sustainableflowersworkshop #localflowers #underthefloralspell #nofloralfoam #canadiangrownflowers

Here was the installation project we created at the Sustainable Flowers Workshop! A meadow scape. It was a really fun project to make. A great idea for a thanksgiving table? Thanks to Becky @prairiegirlflowers for putting this on! It was great to meet other Alberta flower growers and chat flowers as always! #slowflowers #underthefloralspell #inspiredbynature

A bit of love headed out to a special lady today #underthefloralspell #pink #flowers #dahlia #love #flowerfarmer #igrewthis #localflowers #cutflowers

The Cheesiry 03.10.2019

Sheep milking is starting to slow down. As September progresses they will start to naturally dry off. That means that theyre producing less and less milk. As the grass also dries their milk becomes thicker. So theres less water in the milk and technically more milk solids. This makes for a higher yield of cheese at this time of year for the volume of milk. Also makes super thick Greek style yogurt without draining any of the whey.
