So happy that "Lily" was well received by Carrie (a surprise gift from her daughter Anna)! Charcoal, conte, chalk and pencil crayon on paper.

'Gypsy Soul' - Oil on Canvas. A gypsy soul isn’t lost and looking. A Gypsy soul is one who loves movement and finding the pulse in nature and flight as a metaphor. One who thinks everything is music. One who knows and holds an inward and therefore outwardly contagious kind of freedom. (Victoria Erickson)

So... Boredom Buster #2 - Edible Art day was a success even with big kids! Simple to do and so much fun to create. We used the normal Rice Krispie square mix - just like you would to make a pan of squares. Instead of putting it in a pan, plop a lump down in front of the artists and surround them with some fun additives. Very much like making gingerbread men. Helpful hint: some sandwich bags with a small amount of butter or margarine rubbed into them helps the gooey goodness from sticking to hands. Be careful not to sculpt too quickly after the initial preparation though, it is still quite warm. Once it is comfortable to touch, MAKE SOME ART! It is gonna be awesome because it is gonna be yummy!
