We received terrific news this evening that the suspected missing kite surfer was a false alarm. But we have suffered tragedy in the past two weeks with the dea...ths of 20 yr old Troy Cupid and 29 yr old Kevin Costin who lost their lives in the rough Sauble waters. Please, please, please...I know the rolling waves look like fun but they'll take your life. The undertow will suck you in and the wave velocity will drag you away before you even realize you're in horrible trouble. If the wind and the waves are howling, please stay out of the water. It's just not worth taking the chance. Our Council and staff will be discussing a plan we can implement to warn people when the water becomes dangerous. There are several options which we will weigh and implement. Please spread the word to help our residents and visitors stay safe. See more
