We are so happy to be back at lessons! Different location and very different setup but with safety precautions in place, hopefully everyone can enjoy their lessons and stay safe! Wishing all of our students and instructors a great year ahead!

ATTENTION STUDENTS/PARENTS: In-person lessons will be starting this Saturday, September 12 in the hall at the Maxville and District Sports Complex. If you have already registered, your individual schedule will be sent out by email on Thursday, September 10th.

One of our instructors is working on a research project on the history of piping and drumming in Eastern Ontario. Hope everyone is keeping up with their practicing! Looks like there will be some contests this summer after all. They might be a very different format but were excited to hear some bagpipes and drums any way we can!

Today, VE Day 2020, marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe, 75 years since WWII ended in Europe. In commemoration of this event, pipers around the world have been asked to play Battles Oer at 3pm local time. Thank you, Nathan, for playing this tune in remembrance of those who fought and in celebration of VE Day. Nathan is a student with The Glengarry School of Piping and Drumming as well as a piper with The Connie Blaney Memorial Youth Pipe Band.

Hi all! We are doing our best to figure out a way to continue on with lessons during this difficult time. Students will be contacted by their instructors to organize instruction time and choose a format. Possible formats are FaceTime, Skype, Facebook Messenger, Google Duo and Zoom. PLEASE NOTE: LESSONS ARE CANCELLED FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH, 2020 as we will not have access to the school. There were no lessons planned for next Saturday due to March Break. We will be deciding whether to cancel or relocate for the weeks the school is closed after that as we see how things progress. Enjoy your March Break and stay tuned for updates. And dont forget to keep practicing!

The Scottish Society of Ottawa is challenging all pipers and drummers not competing in the Ottawa Branch Knockouts to come out and curl (in your kilt if youre brave enough) on February 29th!
