Immedi...ately the environmentalist in me is happy because it looks like progress, but when you actually read the article you see the incredible amount of resistance to this attempted change (because it is far from a sure thing). The first line of the article if you read it is: "Critics claim the new law violates European Union rules on free movement of goods." It also mentions the risk of new biodegradable options which consumers often misinterpret as a cure all solution. Perhaps this will mean people will create more waste because they think it's ok without the plastic? There's my rant... I hope you're all having an awesome weekend!
