Located in Caledon, Ontario The Hill Academy is an educational institution founded in 2006 in order to provide optimal academic and athletic programming for dedicated student-athletes. We are currently seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper to assist with our daily operations at our campus located at 20490 Porterfield Road, Caledon. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for accounts payables, payroll, bank reconciliation tasks and monthly financial reporting,... and other related tasks as required. You would be expected to work approximately 15 hours per week to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This is a part-time employee position at a pay rate of $20-23 per hour. Some schedule flexibility may be available. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Review invoices for accuracy on price and quantity Record and post all payables Keep accurate financial records and ledgers Balance books and review for errors or omissions Generate financial statements Manage / administer payroll through ADP of 40 full and part time staff Perform data analysis to gather meaningful information and compile into monthly reports Education & Requirements Knowledge & experience with Accounting software (ideally SAGE 50 Premium Simply Accounting or NetSuite) Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook for email. At least 5 years bookkeeping experience, within a business-services or educational environment. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail and accuracy of work. Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
