Tonite at the Poetry Open Mike night, we welcome a special guest Renee Sarojini Saklikar from B.C. as part of her book launch tour "children of air india un/authorized exhibits and interjections". Anyone is welcome to come down. Door open at 7pm.

For the month of October, The Human Bean is proud to host an art exhibit of work generated by Northumberland area high school students that focuses on Violence Prevention Awareness. The art, poetry and sculptures were entered over the last two years in the Northumberland Domestic Abuse Monitoring Committee's contest. The exhibit will be held throughout October. Today, October 4th is the launch and it is being held to coincide with the national Sisters in Spirit vigil, held to recognize the many aboriginal women who are murdered and go missing each year in Canada.

Don't forget the Coal Train Music and Blues event tomorrow night! Starting at 4pm along Second St. After 6pm they spread out to the different venues from 7pm to 9pm. The Human Bean will be host to Brian McNamara from 7pm to 9pm. So come down, enjoy some good music while sipping Northumberland's Best Coffee at The Human Bean!

Wow that was quite the weekend... Still recovering from that one. I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the Waterfront Festival. Go Cobourg!!

Lost: TD Bank Card. If someone lost their bank card a few days ago, I may have it. I was hoping they would come in, but not yet. So if your out there and looking for your card.. stop by, I may have it.

The Bean's new lunch menu items are some old favorites and a couple new ones. They include.... The Grilled Chicken Panini Grilled Vegetable Panini Ham and Swiss Panini... Also... Chicken Quesadilla Egg and Black Bean Burrito Black Bean Burrito All using our famous homemade avocado salsa! Great food at an amazing price! Remember... Served everyday from 10am to 2pm.

So we won the Best Coffee In Cobourg. Just wanted to thank everyone that vote. Was very much appreciated.
