I am so looking forward to this!! Not only to co-hosting, but to participating in Elaine Jackson's facilitated therapy ball massage session. If you have never experienced this type of self-care, it is such deliciously deep release! If you are interested in joining us for this time for yourself, to let go of tension in body, mind and energy, please PM me or email me at [email protected]. It would be great to share a few special hours with you!

Today is Orange Shirt day. I remember my first exposure to hearing about The Indian Act was with a special teacher in Grade 13/OAC theatre class. Had my theatre teacher not set up the curriculum to study First Nations playwrights, and assign an independent performance piece exploring The Indian Act, the painful history of our First Nations would not have been exposed at that school. I remember the horror and grief I felt and what I presented for my piece. It may be hard to lo...ok at hard truths, but never any where near as hard as they are to live. Educating ourselves and watching/looking is a privilege. It means we don't know it first hand. I am committed to ongoing education. I wanted to share this post from my friend Asha Frost and her comment here as well: This video, made by The Ballantyne Project shares about Canada's history that perhaps you didn't learn about.
