It's been a while since we had a Marilynn project for our Friday Finished Object. We're remedying that this week, with her Birds of a Feather shawl! (The pattern is by Andrea Mowry, and you can find it on Ravelry right here: https://www.ravelry.com/patte/library/birds-of-a-feather-14) Marilynn's is knitted with DROPS Kid-Silk Long Print Mohair. So pretty, Marilynn!!

We have a new colour of Loop House Yarn "Silk Mohair" and a new "Alpaca Silk Bouclé" colour too! As well as SEVEN new, limited edition colours of our Loop House Yarn "MCN Fingering Weight" yarn! 115 grams of Merino/Cashmere/Nylon loveliness. We have new Katia Concept "Ultralight Merino" and new shades of Geilsk Bomuld og Uld... and if you've been waiting for Uptown Worsted, it has arrived and will be making its way out of the boxes and onto the shelves very soon!

We have a couple of hats knitted by Rose. The left hat is made with Scandinavia from Katia Yarns and she used our Loop House Yarn Worsted MCN for the hat on the right. Both knitted for her great grandson who is the apple of his great grandma’s eye.

We have been missing our classes, so we thought we'd host one online. Correna will be teaching a "Baby Sock" class online on Saturday, October 17th from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. There are only six spaces available, so we ask that students not register if they have previously taken a sock class at The Loop. We have a whole bunch of new buttons for you, all the way from Germany! Plus "Vera" from Gathering Yarn, this beautiful blend of 50% Mulberry Silk/30% Extrafine Merino and 20% Superfine Merino is milled in Italy, and comes in a 50 gram ball. We have new colours of Loop House Worsted MCN, as well as new colours of Loop House Fingering MCN!

Our Friday Finished Objects this week are hats and mittens for our Mitten Tree, courtesy of the lovely Diana, Dorte, and Jane. Thank you so much for your donations everyone! We are off to a great start!

As much as we'd like to avoid it, winter is coming. Which means it's time to bring out our mitten tree! We have a lot of new stuff for you this week, so let's jump right in! We'll start with the Concept by Katia: Look at all that mohair in all those colours!! Concept by Katia "Superkid Mohair" in 50 shades! Need we say more? Soft Gratté is 80% Acrylic and 10% Polyamide (50 grams/164 yards.) It's soft and shiny and a great alternate for Mohair etc. Alpaquina is 75% Alpaca/25% Polyamide (100 grams/393 yards) is also nice and soft (we are going with lots of soft this week, haha!...) and great for baby stuff! Katia Scandinavia is a really cool self patterning yarn, 85% Wool/15% Alpaca (100 grams/251 yards) - now that sweater weather is starting to think about appearing. Katia Eden - 655 virgin Wool/14% Viscose/10% Mohair/9% Alpaca/4% Polyamide - 50 grams/87 yards, and all the sparkles!! Have you been waiting for Uptown Worsted? It's here!! This is Sharon's "EeVeelution" blanket. Crocheted for her grandson, it shows the evolution of the Pokémon, EeVee. Sharon has a very lucky grandson!

We have more tribbles, I mean, pom poms for you this week! We received a bunch of everyone's favourite faux fur pom poms, which are now available in both 4 and 6 inch sizes! We also have some new colours in our Loop House Yarn Alpaca/Silk Bouclé. Each skein is 50 grams of 66% Alpaca/16% Silk and 18% Nylon. We've also got new stitch markers, row counters, and DPN project holders from Purple Gecko Studios!
