FROSTED DATE BALLS 1 1/4 cups sifted flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup powdered sugar + more for rolling... 1/2 cup salted butter, softened 1 Tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 2/3 cup chopped dates 1/2 cup chopped pecans Preheat oven to 300. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside. Combine the sifted flour and salt and sift together twice. In a bowl, cream the butter and gradually add sugar. Add milk and vanilla and stir in the sifted ingredients. Blend in dates and nuts. Roll in 1 inch balls. Place on the parchment lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 20 minutes. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
