The Quest for Jackie Robinson project

Good morning, Proud to display part of a collection we added to the museum project under the "Integration in sports" theme. This one touches me because it also displays the local hockey history from my region, a very nice addition to the collection.... In 1948, the Valleyfield Braves had a very good team led by coach Toe Blake. A player from British Columbia was added to the roster, Larry Kwong. A Cino-Canadien (Chinese Canadien) from Cancouver who played for many teams throughout is career before finally ending up with the Valleyfield Braves. Drafted by the New York Rangers, he finally had is first NHL game making him the first Chinese born player to make it to the big league. It was only fitted for this event to take place at the Montreal Forum since Montreal already had important integration history, who better then Montreal to write another chapter... The best part is when you can get the family involved, so I was lucky enough to show this amazing collection to them before displaying it for you, a very interesting discussion where I found out that the family didn't have those pictures and artefacts... Sometimes you find very valuable sports artefacts that doesn't have a lot of meaning for you, they are just rare and valuable and collectors crave for them. But sometimes you just find the gem, the one unexpected piece that just shows up and completely bring the memories back and you realize the scarcity of the artefact and its importance just by looking at it...this is it I still can't believe I just added this to the Museum project...

The museum project gives artists the Tribune to express themselves. In each section representing their own sport, we will have a series of apparel made by our own artist. Those stunning pieces of art will catch your eye for sure...Life size Stanley Cup would blow your mind, life size all pieces An Expos fan, Denis La Cloche called the baseball bats...coppers town...I then told him the big trophy would be called the Stanley copper !!!... 1958 Manchester United crash Not the fun historic happening you want but an event no one can forget...years ago, i got a call from one who was working in the medias and knew i was creating a sports museum. He offered me a complete filing cabinet of very old press wire photos. In those, i had the complete file of genuine pictures from one newspaper that covered the events...here's one of them pictures
