The Renovated Room 24.11.2020

Things are really coming together at the condo...really love this tiled entranceway we did this week. It’s a great way to dress up a small space without being too much!

These are the "after photos" of a beautiful complete renovation of a nearly 100 year old home. It belonged to a very special lady in our lives so this was such a pleasure to do! We took it down to the studs and redid everything outside and in as well as the garage. We added a wrap around porch, 3rd bedroom upstairs and second bathroom to the upper level. One of our favourites!

The "Before's" of our newest renovation! It's going to be an amazing transformation!

One of things we've learned over our years as renovators is how to "maximize our budgets" and get the most for our money - and isn't that what everybody wants? One of my best tips to save on the budget is to "work with the layout you have." In a bathroom, if your current layout of plumbing and electrical works, then leave it where it is, and update finishes like flooring, paint, fixtures and vanity. Eliminating the need for extensive plumbing and electrical work can save you from having to tear up floors and walls and costing far more than you anticipated spending. Check out the photo below to see a great example of this. While the shower has undergone a big overhaul (which is well worth spending on), the placement of everything remains the same.

This reno was an amazing renovation! Removing a wall allowed us to add light, as well as a beautiful island. We even created a beautiful walk-in pantry out of a breakfast nook that nobody ever used. Call us today to see what we can do for you.

If you're thinking of doing a bit of renovating to help improve the resale value of your home, make sure you're doing the RIGHT renovation and using a professio...nal if your skill set won't produce a good result. Remember, a renovation gone wrong or done poorly can actually work in reverse and reduce the value of your home as buyers see that they will need to invest more money to "fix" your mistakes! I can help you determine the renovations that will produce the highest return on your investment and connect you with the right people for the job. Just some food for thought as you're watching HGTV and utter those 4 cursed words, "I can do that!" See more
