Hello my name is Sarah, this is going to be my sewing page. This page is going to be dedicated to everything sewing, everything from making/selling/donating ite...ms to helpful tips and tricks. I hope to build this page into something amazing and useful for all. At this point this is the page that I will be managing the mask production and distributions. So please direct any questions or inquiries to this page. For those of you that dont know, The Sewing Shop has been producing and offering masks to the community free of charge. We have had an amazing amount of appreciation and support and will continue to make masks as long as supplies last. The Sewing shop and I would like to thank everyone. Stay safe and stay positive.

Just wanted to mention to those who have recieved masks, its not a bad idea to mark which side you are putting against your face with a sharpie or something. This way, when you are taking it off/ putting it back on it assures that you are not putting the outside back on against your mouth. Also, we advise to wash them when you can. Every day or 2. There’s more to this but....Here's the only part that matters. Conclusions... This study is the first RCT of cloth masks, and the results caution against the use of cloth masks. This is an important finding to inform occupational health and safety. Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. Further research is needed to inform the widespread use of cloth masks globally. However, as a precautionary measure, cloth masks should not be recommended for HCWs, particularly in high-risk situations, and guidelines need to be updated. See more

The long weekend is just around the corner and June has been a very busy months for us, so with that we will be closing for the long weekend as per usual but we will also be closed next week for a much needed break.
