With Covid turning the world topsy-turvy, we have to be flexible here too. In order to work around the new home schooling, NAT is trying a new schedule where she starts at 4pm during the week and at 11am on Saturdays. 1. If you are interested in booking an evening spot with NAT please email [email protected]. 2. We also want to start a list of people who would like a call when there is an opening or cancelation. In other words if NAT has an unexpected opening and you want to be offered the spot and could be available the same day, send us your info so you can have first dibs when that happens. *This is not a call list for Loni...we don't want anyone getting confused.

With school fast approaching, we understand how stressful this can be for many parents as they debate on whether or not they should have their kids go back to school or stay home. Our artist Nat at The Skin Within has decided to keep her kids home during this pandemic. With that being said, we must inform those that are booked in September to be patient with us as we adjust our scheduling to suit her kids' home schooling. There maybe days that appointments may have to get pushed down in the day or rescheduled to accommodate for this. So we please ask that you be understanding as Nat takes on this role of "Super Mom" juggling both work and the task of being a teacher to her kids. Thank you!

People keep sending annoyed emails or posting comments saying they haven't been rebooked and they saw posts for openings. We have two artists here (Loni and Nat) who had to catch up since the lockdown. Loni recently took a few weeks off for health reasons. She has been very open with everyone about her situation and has slowly started to come back to work. Because of this time away, she has NOT caught up yet and she will only be gradually increasing her hours. The posts on h...ere about availability were for Nat when she had a gap in her day or a cancelation several weeks ago. THE BOTTOM LINE: Nobody got passed over. We are prioritizing people who had a deposit before Covid and then picking stuff we can still fit into the schedule. Sending an email DOES NOT GUARANTEE you will get an appointment. We are still booking by email and not taking walk-ins. We know it's nice out and feels like the old days but please remember Covid-19 isn't over. Our doors are locked and people should only knock if they have an appointment. We check the emails regularly and will call you to book you in if you sent a clear email.

Hello everyone Just a reminder to please be patient as we dig through the emails we have received for tattoos and piercings. (No need to send things twice!) There are only so many hours in each day and sometimes we can't place people right away! Don't forget to include a phone number and also indicate if you have a specific artist in mind. Email whack-a-mole is complicated enough without making calls offering a spot with the wrong person.

Due to all of the extra hand washing and sanitizer use everyone is having to do to fight Covid-19 , our shop will not be doing any hand tattoos for at least the next few months. Unfortunately some clients are not understanding that we do not guarantee hand tattoos in the first place, particularly if people pick the side of a finger for example, and the extra cleaning/strong ingredients everyone has to use to be safe right now may as well be an eraser. Thank you for your continued patience during these frustrating times and we hope everyone is safe and sound.

We are still booked a bit in advance but sometimes have room for new bookings so if you are interested in a spot here's what you do... 1. EMAIL [email protected] 2. Give a brief DESCRIPTION of what you want to get done. Images are good too. 3. Make sure you include a PHONE NUMBER. Once we have heard from you we want to plan your visit over the phone. If we have to play email tag with you to set up a spot, you can bet it won't be as fast as you had hoped. 5. It can be he...lpful to tell us the days of the week that work best for you. If you were already booked before the quarantine and havent been contacted, it's possible we haven't gotten to you yet or you had a larger piece we couldn't fit into the current schedule yet. It's not strictly first-come-first-served because we are placing people based on how long the piece will take. (In other words, if you want a 5 hour tattoo and the week we are looking at has a 2 hour spot left, you won't get a call yet.) YES you will be asked to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer. We are in the process of rescheduling our appointments that were booked from mid-March to June. For anyone who had an appointment during that time, before Covid-19 caused us to temporarily close, we will be phoning you soon enough to reschedule you, moving your previously paid deposit to your new appointment date. We thank you for being understanding during this time as we go through this process together and we look forward to seeing you all soon! For clients wanting to get... in for a new tattoo, we will be making regular updates on our facebook page, in the weeks to come, to let you know when we will start taking on new appointments. For now, all that we can ask from our clients is that they remain patient just a little longer. All your questions will be answered! If you emailed us and didn't get a reply yet, it's because we are only getting back to things slowly at the moment. We have been focused on making sure we are ready to operate the way the Eastern Ontario Health Unit has recommended as well as doing a few repairs/updates around the shop. People will get calls but not very many at first and there is some waiting involved. Just like your favourite restaurant has had to cut back on the number of tables, we have to space things out to allow for the new rules. I don't think any of us want to go back to the land of I-Already-Watched-All-Of-Netflix-So-Maybe-I-Should-Try-Baking-Bread...so we are taking our time and making sure everyone stays safe.

Update time! Obviously things have to be a bit different now, so we are busy making changes around the shop as well as giving it a little spruce here and there. At the moment we do NOT have full-time counter staff around to take phone calls. They will only be around periodically to contact clients who were already booked to offer them a time slot. If you do not want to renew your appointment because of loss of income or just not feeling ready for the Covid world, we totall...y understand and won't judge. Just make sure you tell us when we call so we can offer the spot to the next person waiting. In the coming week or so, those phone calls will be happening and our artists/piercer will take appointments but we will not be taking as many in a day as before...Things you need to know: 1. You will be asked screening questions when we call to book you. 2. You will be asked the same boring questions when you get here for your visit. Sorry about that. 3. Please arrive wearing a face mask. We are unable to keep 6' away from you when we tattoo or pierce, so the face mask is mandatory. 4. You can't bring friends with you. We are only letting 3 people other than staff into the shop at a time. No exceptions. 5. There will be NO walk-ins. We don't have a date in mind for resuming walk-ins. We will be booking by phone or email only for now. And just to be clear, for now WE call YOU. We don't want to bump someone who was booked and take someone new. The door will be locked at all times so if you have a question, please use email. 6. Everyone who booked with us is important to us and will be treated equally. We ask that you please be patient and be kind to our counter staff when you speak with them on the phone because they are doing the best they can in a crazy situation and are awesome ladies. We had hoped to only be gone about a week but as anyone following the news knows, it's not over. The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has made it official that businesses offering personal services like tattoos and piercings cannot be operating at this time. We hope you are all safe and finding ways to keep your spirits up.

Our shop prides itself on providing a safe and clean environment. We have decided to close our doors for at least one week to support efforts to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and encourage more people to stay home. We know it's a bummer, but the last thing we want is a code 2319 at the shop. If you were booked and had a deposit we will still honour it when you do get your tattoo. We will post updates if the length of the closure changes. We can beat this if we all do our part!
