Wonderful that Heather is offering this online yoga class in September. The Space Between will remain closed in September with plans to open sometime in October. Hope you're enjoying these late summer days and all the delicious local food. Claire

Yay, the new sign is up! It was made in March but installation was delayed due to covid. Thanks to Bonnechere Valley Township for the contribution through the CIP Main Street Revitalization Fund. The studio is closed for the summer. Have a wonderful long weekend! Claire

There's still time to see the comet over the next few days so be sure to look up after sunset (best perhaps 10-10:30 pm) below the big dipper close to the horizon in the northwest. You can see it with or without binoculars. If your nw horizon view is blocked or you have too much light pollution in your yard, Eganville Legion Field would be a good spot to go. Gerald took this picture last Friday with the International Space Station as the streak over comet Neowise. Good luck and happy star gazing!

Branch 353 of the Royal Canadian Legion been an integral part of the Eganville community for 75 years. There is hardly a family in the area that has not used th...e facilities at Branch 353 or benefited from its contributions to the community. From weddings and anniversaries, to public dances, fundraisers for fire victims or individuals suffering from an illness, Branch 353 has always been here to help others. It has sponsored educational programs and competitions, provided bursaries to graduating students. It has opened its doors for blood clinics, funeral services, memorial celebrations, political gatherings, worship services, card tournaments to raise money for charitable and health-related services. The list of good things this Branch has done and continues to do for the wider Eganville community is endless. On November 11th, hundreds of people attend the Remembrance Day Service and pay tribute to the thousands of men and women who fought for our freedom and for the lifestyle we enjoy today. Now it is time for the community to provide a helping hand to Branch 353. A time to give back so that this important community organization is able to continue into the future. If every person who ever used the facilities at Branch 353, benefited from an event that was held here, or was the recipient of aid directly from the Legion, if every person who believes the Legion is an important part of the local landscape, if all help out in this time of need, Branch 353 will continue to flourish and be a focal point in the community.
