Who knows what a Hoosier is? This gorgeous piece ia a Hoosier cabinet, which is a type of cupboard or free-standing kitchen cabinet that also serves as a workstation. It was popular in the first few decades of the 20th century in the US, since most houses did not have built-in kitchen cabinetry. We're having fun restoring this one and making it like new again!

Stripped and like new! Ready for the customer to choose the colour. Notice the ornate white trim we uncovered. This is made of gesso, which is a mixture of glue, chalk and pigment, used for ornamental trim and rarely seen today. A treasure!

Once a door with sentimental value, now stripped and ready to be made into a table. Repurposed and re-loved.
