We are so thankful to our Food Rescue sponsors, like Jagger Gordon’s Feed it Forward, because we are using food, that would otherwise go in the landfill, to feed people! It’s that simple. Feed it Forward does some pretty awesome stuff in the city (you know... down there, lol!) but chooses to share with us! Thanks to Amy Snow, our Food Rescue South Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator for reaching out to create this wonderful partnership! We also now have a trailer of our own (thanks to former volunteer, Lynne Doyle, who wrote a successful grant that helped us get it!) to pick up larger loads of food. We are blessed

The Table Men’s Hostel is open once again! Closed briefly for one and a half months, we are welcoming guests to contact Heather Cassie at 7053493788 if they are in need of a fantastic place to stay. Nightly rate is $14.29, which can be paid from the housing portion of OW or ODSP’s monthly allotments, if necessary. Health and Safety standards naturally in place.

We LOVE our volunteers!! Thanks to these masked wonders who unloaded a truck of food in record time! It’s a blessing to have committed volunteers when you need them. A huge thanks to the generous folk at U-Haul for their support and of course, to Lynne Doyle and Randy Daigneault for being our road warriors!!

Missionaries from the People’s Church kindly came to share Bibles with our Soup Kitchen, Food Bank and Exchange Store guests, should they be interested. The Bible is about the good news of Jesus’ love for each of us and how to have a personal relationship with him. If you are interested in having a Bible too, we always have some to give away. They are located on the shelves outside our Foundation office in the Food Bank.

What a wonderful gift Staples Huntsville has given to students in our community! We have had the privilege of sharing backpacks full of school supplies with our guests. There’s also a table full of other school supplies that Staples donated. To all those going back to school, we wish you all the best! Thanks to our friends at Staples
