Today we're sharing Chandler Scott's recent Exercise Breakdown: Pallof Press This is one of my favourite trunk exercises. This exercise strengthens the whole trunk and works on improving anti-rotation.... This means that you are not allowing the trunk to rotate with movements. Sometimes we want our trunk to rotate, other times we want the trunk not to rotate. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Here's a summary of the tips: - Place feet a little more than shoulder width apart. - Keep a slight bend in your knees. - Keep the trunk upright and not rotating. - The only movement should be the forward and backward of the arms against the resistance band. Give this exercise a try! Start with 3 sets of 12 added to your regular exercise program. If this or any other exercise causes you pain and discomfort stop performing the exercises and seek out a registered physiotherapist! These posts are meant for educational purposes only.
