We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to moving towards our normal routine and habits. The recent announcements from the Government of Alberta describe a staged approach to re-opening. Dental care will be opened in stages dependent on a variety of factors. The most important is the access to Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ). These are necessary to prev...ent the further spread of Covid 19. Currently they are required most by hospitals and first responders. We have put in a request for these as directed by the Government. We hope that we may hear about our request soon but in the meantime will continue to try our best to source these elsewhere as we cannot put you at risk for the sake of expediency. We hope that we will be opening as soon as possible but are UNABLE TO at present. I am extremely frustrated and saddened immensely by this state of affairs . Greetings Village Dental Clients, These last couple of weeks feel like none other that I have experienced in my 37 years as a healthcare provider. Even in the face of this uncertainty we have been blessed by your support and thoughts. Today, March 17th all Dentists in Alberta have been told by the Alberta Dental Association and the Province of Alberta to immediately suspend all non-emergency dental treatment. We want to reassure all of you that we are healthy and safe ( as ...an aside we did not attend the Pacific Dental Conference ) and wish this for you and your family. While all this upheaval is going on we see our role as unchanged! We will help you as best as possible to attend to your dental needs. For those of you that we have not been able to contact who have appointments this week and next , we will continue to try and reach you as soon as possible. For those others who have appointments in the next few weeks we will be reaching out to you. We cannot predict the length or severity of this pandemic but assume it will be a long period so all appointments that we have currently scheduled will need to be considered to be up in the air. Please be assured that we will be available for any emergency care subject to your health status which needs to be taken into account. We will see you!! It may not be that evening or day but we will arrange something as expeditiously as possible. Your health and wellbeing is vitally important to our whole team.
