The Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History Thunder Bay

Well everyone, today is virtual challenge walk day. I will be going live on this page a couple of times between 11:30 and 1:30 from what would normally be our Walk location to do my part with the virtual challenge. I encourage you all to post your photos and videos of your virtual challenge activities on this page and on your personal pages. Please tag me (Karen Danelisky) in your photos so I can see all of the fun stuff you are doing today. I will definitely miss being w...ith all of you today and celebrating the wonderful work we have all done this year with our fundraising to Make CF History. I have a couple of amazing announcements that I will make during the live stream posts regarding how much we have raised and our top fundraising prizes this year. In honour of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month and in support of our local CF Walk teams we are happy to announce our newest fundraiser raffle for this year’s Walk. We are calling this event ‘Light the Way to a Cure’. How the raffle works is that we will be selling off 100 squares on our raffle board. Each square will be a chance to win the beautiful light up block shown below. Squares are $3 each or 2 squares for $5. You can leave a message below if you wish to purchase ...a chance to win the block and we will contact you directly to make arrangements to collect the payment for your squares. Each day I will post a list of numbers showing the square purchaser to everyone can see which squares are still available. Once all of the squares are sold or on Sunday May 31st (whichever happens first) we will use a random number generator to pick the winner in a Facebook live post. See more

Well everyone, the 2020 Walk to make Cystic Fibrosis History is still happening this year with one big difference. This year’s walk will be held as a virtual challenge. We can all still fundraise online but will not walk as a large group. Each of us ( or our smaller family groups) will all in our own space in our own way on May 31st. Please go to www.cysticfibrosis.ca/walk to sign up and start fundraising to help us make cystic fibrosis history.
