Starting today June 2 we’re opening and looking forward to seeing your faces! Thanks to all of you for your patience! We want the Wine Room to be safe so for now this is how it’s going to work; -2 customers can bottle at one time at opposite corners of the bottling station -there will be no labeling in house at this time however labels and shrink wrap are available -access will be by the front entrance only... -there will be no access to the public washroom -we ask that you use your elbow to activate the automatic door opener on entry and exit -please use the hand sanitizer located at the front counter and at the bottling stations -if you see another customer standing in the box at the counter when you arrive please wait -hours for now are reduced to Tue-Fri 10-4 and Sat 9-1 -please respectfully keep your distance Now make an appointment and get in here!!! #makeyourownwine #bottlingday #staysafe #madeinperthon See more

Here at The Wine Room we have been taking extra precautions against COVID-19 in that we have been scheduling just one customer at a time for bottling, by cleaning surfaces and washing hands more frequently, and by not handling cash, all while maintaining normal business hours. Having said that, in light of all that has taken place in the past few days in our province, and in our country, in regards to this pandemic and even though the AGCO(Alcohol and Gaming Commission of On...tario) assured us we can remain open, we will be closing our doors to the public at end of day Friday, March 20th until such time that it is deemed safe to re-open. We do this with both heavy hearts and a clear conscience. With heavy hearts because on the first full day of spring and just nine days away from the 1st anniversary of The Wine Room opening it’s doors to all of our wonderful customers we are closing them amid so much uncertainty. With a clear conscience because we feel it is the best thing to do for the safety of our staff, our customers, and this great community that we are proud to be a part of. We will have at least one staff member remaining to take care of wine that is in progress and answer the phone if you have questions or want to order a batch. We can continue to make your wine though we cannot guarantee when bottling will again be possible. We do hope to see you all soon and if we all do our part we will be seeing each other again sooner than later. As this all unfolds we will continue to provide you with updates. To all our valued customers, We at The Wine Room are taking this current health threat very seriously. For our part we will be cleaning customer contact surfaces more frequently i.e. the sales counter, the bottling stations and counter, the labeling area and entrance door handles. We are also asking our staff and all of you to wash hands more frequently and thoroughly. As well we encourage you to use the automatic door opener at the main entrance and to activate it without ...using your hands. For the time being we will be operating with our normal business hours but will only be booking two bottlings at a time and situating those two customers kitty corner to maintain a safe distance. For the safety of all our customers and staff we would ask that if you have recently returned from a trip abroad or are showing any signs of respiratory infection that you DO NOT come to The Wine Room. If you have to self quarantine and need your wine please designate a healthy person to bottle your batch for you. We have also been experiencing a shortage of some of our more popular wine kits particularly the ones sourced in Europe and we will keep you updated on this as the situation becomes more clear. We’ll get through this if we work together and remain calm. Be well good friends.
