Happy Friday, everyone! Today is a fantastic day to roll down to The 101 - we've got happy hour food and drink specials from 3 to 6 today. You know, just like every day. But today's Friday, and poutine just kinda hits different on Fridays. And, starting today, our kitchen is open until 8 on Fridays and Saturdays! See you soon!

LATER KITCHEN HOURS // Hey! We have good news! In order to make sure you all get fed, we're going to keep our kitchen open one extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays starting tomorrow (Friday, February 5). Come get a bite anytime between 12 and 8! We're still shutting the kitchen down at 7 from Tuesday until Thursday. For now, at least!

NEW BEER - DARK KOLSCH // Our bearded beauty of a head brewer Scott loves a nice, crisp light beer. He's been aching to brew a kölsch for ages now, but there hasn't been room on the brew schedule until now - the dead of winter. So he went ahead and made one, but winterized it with the lightest sprinkle of smoky-toasty Midnight Wheat malt. On now at The 101! Perfect for quaffing around the beach fire, or sipping, feet up, after a big day at Dakota Ridge.

Four years ago today. What a wild ride it's been so far! Glad to have all of you supporters, regulars, beer fans, cocktail afficionados, and well-wishers alongside us as we keep on going and growing. Cheers to another year!

THE RETURN OF THE 101 KITCHEN // We're through our New Year deep-clean and we're back open. Scroll down for our new hours, but first, some big news: we are very pleased to announce that our kitchen will now be OPEN every day that we're open! We'd like to express our deep gratitude to Salt and Swine for helping to keep our customers fed through 2020. You guys rule! 2020 WINTER HOURS: Sunday & Monday: CLOSED... Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11:30-9:00 Friday & Saturday: 11:30-10:00 Our kitchen will be open and serving delicious food from 12:00 to 7:00, Tuesday to Saturday. See you soon!

NEVER TOO LATE TO POST // Remember when the snow was clean and white and fluffy the other day? We fully meant to get this shot then. We didn't, though. Still posting this, because what if it doesn't snow again this year? Then we wouldn't be able to get a photo of our beer in a pile of snow AT ALL this year. And look at how handsome the cans look!

Friends, we are CLOSED TODAY (Sunday) - that was one wild summer and today we're taking the opportunity to get together as a staff team and celebrate a little. We'll be open again tomorrow at 11:30, and the kitchen will open up at 12. But you can still enjoy our beer - 101 cans are available from all of the Sunshine Coast's liquor retailers! Cheers!

Hey everyone! Effective immediately we'll be doing things a bit differently here at The 101. We're making some changes to our front of house experience to keep our customers and staff safe because, as we're sure you've heard, there's still a pandemic going on (sigh). Here's what we're doing: - we're moving to table service ONLY - no more orders at the bar. When you get to The 101, come on in and find yourself a clean/sanitized table (they're marked with a green card so that y...ou don't have to guess) and have a seat. Groups of six or less are welcome to share a table. Your server will be right with you! - all front of house staff will now wear a mask to help stop the spread of germs. We encourage you to wear one too - well, at least until your drinks/food arrive. - in the next day or two we'll be installing a plexiglass barrier over the bar to create some physical separation between folks seated at the bar and the staff behind it. It's kind of a wonder material, in that it'll stop droplets, but still allow friendly eye contact and thumbs-up gestures to pass through unimpeded. - this bit hasn't changed: we're still sanitizing basically everything all the time and washing our hands pretty much whenever we're not pouring you a drink. So, yeah. We can't wait until this pandemic is in the past. We're as tired of it as you are. But we are glad to be able to remain open through it, and we're grateful to you, our community, for keeping us going in this tricky time. We'll get through this together, OK? See you soon!
