Construction at the42 has begun! The first phase is shoring the perimeter of the site. The shoring contractors will be on site for approximately 8 weeks.

The deconstruction of 42, 44 and 46 Bridgeport, and 55 Peppler St, to make way for the42. This process took place during the fall of 2008.

Hi, Hope everyone is ready for the cold winter months to come :) We have some great news! As you may have noticed we have started taking down the old houses on the corner of Bridgeport and Peppler.... Here in Waterloo, we are lucky enough to have one of Ontario's top heritage salvaging firms. Kieswetter Demolition Inc. which is deconstructing the houses specializes in the disassembling of buildings, sometimes literally piece by piece. Over 90% of the salvaged materials are recycled or reused. When you think about that, it's really quite remarkable. The best of the material salvaged from the old houses on Bridgeport and Peppler will be made available again through The Timeless Materials Co. or Timeless Timber Structures. Both are located at 305 Northfield Dr. East in Waterloo. Timeless Materials Co. is the retail division, whereas Timeless Timber Structures is the build division. Here are some pictures of the 'Alternate B' unit that was built at the Presentation Center of the42. It was constructed in March/April '08 and taken down in June/July '08.
