ABLE Richmond Hill is in the process of collecting donations of non-perishable food items to support the @foodbankyr (Food Bank of York Region). Thank you to everyone who has been setting items aside for our collection!! The FBYR also relies on cash donations to assist them in doing their valuable work. With over 169,000 individuals in York Region living on low income, every dollar matters. We would like to supplement our donation of food items with a cash donation and we hav...e a "sweet" plan for raising these funds. We will be raffling off a homemade candy wreath (approximately 15 in diameter) this Friday (December 11th). Raffle tickets are $5.00 per ticket or $10.00 for 3 tickets. Getting in the Holiday spirit! Today during our afternoon zoom session, ABLE Aurora participants and staff made gingerbread trees together. We all used our following directions skills and expressed our creativity when decorating them. It was a fun and festive afternoon!

Looking for a Covid safe way to do some holiday shopping? Look no further! Judy and Cindy are once again holding their annual holiday open house but this year it will be a virtual event with easy Covid safe curbside pickup. Please see the attached flyer. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the ABLE Network. There will be a variety of vendors such as: The Decadent Brittle, Quilted Treasures, Eliza Perry's Jewellery, Mae's Hot Sauce & Marinade and Attilio's Foods. The Catholic Women's League at Our Lady of Grace Church in Aurora is holding an online raffle for Father's Day. They are raffling off bundles of awesome gift cards that would be perfect for Dads, Grandfathers, Husbands, Stepdads or any special man in your life! (we won't tell if you keep them for yourself either lol). All proceeds will go toward their annual scholarship for the Rose of Sharon - Services for Young Mothers and the ABLE Network. There are four bundles to be... won - 1 worth $175 and 3 worth $150! Cards include: Apple, Best Buy, Home Depot, Visa, Petro Canada, Canadian Tire etc. Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5, 6 for $10, 12 for $20 etc. You can purchase tickets by sending an etransfer to [email protected] or if you live in Aurora they can arrange contactless pickup.
