Dear Belly, Here Today Gone Tomorrow ?? Dare I say one day I might miss being this pregnant?! I said that after having the girls for sure.. Mothers 100% have a certain level of amnesia to want to do this all over again with each child it is not easy! Right now I’m being kicked from the inside like it’s penalty kicks during World Cup, I feel so much pressure on my pelvic floor I’m waddling to compensate, my skin feels so stretched all the time I’m ...definitely anticipating stretch marks in the near future and my lower back and hips could not be more sore from trying to hold up all the extra weight. BUT pregnancy is also an amazing experience. Being able to grow a human being in your belly that one day will grow to have their own life is an insane thought. I am blessed to have done this 3 times. And I am undoubtedly grateful for these moments. And soon there will be 3 !!! For those of you asking Nooo the nursery is not complete, lol.. Does that give me anxiety? Yes. Will the baby know it’s not complete? No. So I’m giving myself a break and completing it slowly.. If a few things are left to put up after little beans arrival then so be it.. I will definitely show all of you once it’s ready though But I am making progress! Hospital bag is packed! Woohoo! Today is World Suicide Prevention Day I wrote this before knowing the day but it seems fitting. Sometimes you just have to say it like it is. #realtalk... I’ve been humbled & blessed to be considered a confidant by some of my closest friends and family. Whether it be family struggles, relationship issues, fertility concerns, workplace hardships or just life itself; it gets gnarly at times. We gotta regroup, reset & refocus. - You can’t please everyone. - You can’t live up to everyone’s standards. - You can’t make everyone happy. And frankly, you don’t have to. After all it’s your life, not theirs. I once read that you are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with. So make sure to surround yourself with motivated, hustling, positive, supporting and loving individuals. Ones that make you the best version of yourself. The rest can be kept at a safe distance. Just remember the best thing you can do for your mind & soul is make sure you are happy. - Make your own rules. - Live up to your own standards. - Break your own boundaries. Live your life. For you. F E E L G O O D Seems like such a simple ask but not so simple for me these days. Early pregnancy symptoms have not subsided yet nausea, vomiting, headaches, back aches, sciatic pain just to name a few.. ... I have this telltale sign of pregnancy where my tastebuds change. Things I normally love to eat or drink taste terrible ie coffee This has not reset yet and it’s so difficult because there are so many things I do not and cannot eat.. The taste in my mouth can be so bad it makes me #help I also feel super low energy. I can go from having a burst of energy and getting a bunch of chores done to a few mins later having zero energy and just wanting to lay down for hours. I’m on a roller coaster and I want to get off the ride please! I always feel like I need to include the disclaimer that I’m not trying to sound ungrateful for being pregnant. I am so happy about this baby. But if I’m also being real pregnancy is not always glamorous! There are some really difficult things us Mama’s go through to bring these little people into the world. I just want to make sure all those ladies out there feeling under the weather right now or those that remember how it felt during those first few months while also trying to enjoy this magical time I see you!
