Hi! Welcome to my NEW page! Let’s face it, nothing brings people together like food and wine does! I spent 18 years working in the LCBO and 10 of those years as a Product Consultant where I had the opportunity to taste, experience and evaluate THOUSANDS of products. From high end expensive wines, to exclusive spirits, liqueurs right down to ready to drink coolers and beer. I have been learning and educating myself on wine and spirits for 20 years, I have my level 3 award ...in Wines from WSET and my level 2 award in Spirits from WSET. I am passionate about how pairing the right beverage with your meal can not only enhance your meal but transform your entire experience! Launching in early 2021, I will be offering virtual tasting packages that include wine and charcuterie pairings delivered locally within Georgina for FREE, and outside of Georgina in Northern York Region and Northern Durham for a small delivery fee. I will guide you through these pairings on Zoom call with you and your friends to help your explore new products and diversify your palate. Gifting Service will also be available! You vote with your dollars! You want your voice heard? Start purchasing LOCAL WINES! Not International blends, but 100% Ontario grapes! Purchase from the LCBO in the VQA section, or purchase direct from the wineries. For as far back as you can look our governments have done whatever they can to make winemakers lives difficult to turn a profit. This needs to stop.... ? Chardonnay is one of the most popular grapes, and it is expressed in many styles from lean and crisp, sparkling Blanc de Blanc, to rich and buttery, oak aged white wines. Chardonnay is a major grape in Champagne, and other sparkling wines, such a Crémant, Franciacorta, and Trento.... The grape originated in a small village in France named Chardonnay. The name originally meant place of thistles or thistle covered place. By law is a wine is labeled Chablis it must be Chardonnay. Chardonnay is said to be made in the winery, as it gets most of its hallmark tasting notes of butter from wine making methods. ! Oaked Chardonnay’s are rich, full bodied and have flavours of vanilla, baking spices or butter. Flavours range from tropical, think grilled pineapple and mangos from warm climate regions to lean crisp green apple and citrus from cool climate regions. Unoaked Chardonnay’s are not what you might expect! They are similar to Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, but without the green flavours. Depending on how ripe the grape gets the flavours range from citrus and green apple to over ripe peach and tinned pineapple. You can buy Chardonnay’s that exceed $10,000!
