Where has the time gone? It's been awhile since we reached out to all of you, and just thought we'd share a few updates and announcements . - We've relocated to Brantford, however our service areas remain the same (we are working remotely, so we can work with virtually anyone, anywhere). - We are still offering free consultations and services remotely. - Salena's availability for project management & business analysis related services will be reduced to evenings and weekend...s as of August 24th, 2020. - Jonathan's availability for accounting related services will be reduced to evenings and weekends as of September 8th, 2020. As always, we are just a click away if you need help. If you're still not quite familiar with what we do, or how we've helped create value for organizations, check out our portfolio here: https://www.theanalysteffect.com/projects

Listening to stakeholders and their requirements (and in exchange, having them listen intently to you) is key to the success of any project or initiative in any organization, and even in your personal life! Here are some things to ponder when communicating: - How do your company meetings go? ... - How is the quality of your 1-on-1 exchanges? - Are you using emotional intelligence (EQ) in all of your interactions? - Are you being present and mindful in your conversations? - Are your intentions being clearly understood? Becoming a great listener takes a lot of practice (and patience), and this little infographic gives a good idea how to start. Following up to our post this week about COGS, here we breakdown what that means for businesses. #challenges #opportunities #growth #solutions #business #consulting #analysis #projects https://www.theanalysteffect.com/p/finding-the-missing-cogs

The Analyst Effect 04.10.2020

We help our clients with their unique challenges, opportunities, growth and solutions. Our 'Cogs' metaphor really speaks to what we do. Every entrepreneur and organization has a mission, an objective, and problems to solve. Every organization or business entity is like a wheel in the sense it should always be working smoothly, well oiled and moving forward. This week, we will post a blog talking more about "COGS", how it applies to pretty much every business today, and way...s we connect our clients to solving their missing cogs. We are always offering 30 minute remote consultations free. Book through our website, send us a message on FB, drop us an email ([email protected]) or contact us by phone at 289-788-5616. #BusinessAnalysis #projectmanagement #cogs #challenges #opportunities #growth #solutions

As an Analyst, we have to ask the right questions to get the right answers. One way to do this, is by using the "5 Why's" technique. This technique allows us to think like a kid again, and listen with a completely open mind. As an Analyst, it is our responsibility to help clients get to the bottom of any challenge or opportunity they have, to fully understand how to move forward. Rushing in to make changes without first understanding the root cause, may lead to wasted time, r...esources, money, frustration and lots of rework. If you are in a position to help solve a problem, take that problem and ask WHY it's a problem. Then reframe your questions and ask WHY again based on your first WHY. By your fifth WHY you should get to your root cause. Give it a try, and if you get stuck, we're always here to help! #tiptuesday #5whys #businessanalysis
