How art can help in struggling to process and or making efforts to cope with grief and loss? Defining the connection with the activity and sharing reflections from my personal activity as a facilitator, the element of consistency gratitude and blessings is about consistency from my past: I divided my activity into two sections, Past and Present and explained how these elements have been present in my life throughout the troubling and otherwise normal times to give me hope an...d courage to fight and keeping me motivated. These elements of connection with the activity could be any depending upon how we are able to see ourselves. It could be the The Element of Consistency. The Element of Focus. The Element of Balance. The Element of Hope. The Element of control over how we see things from "this" point going forward. The Element of strength and contentment. The Element of awareness, ease, safety, and movement to live in the moment by detaching themselves from the world outside and extracting positivity to express in a fun way with colors. #nikwrites #tappbynikhat #theartfulpeacepractice See more

Art is a language that resonates with peacefulness without words. An element that creates an unbiased and non-judgemental connection, brings us aligned with our inspirations and motivates us to delve deeper into our inner wellspring of positive energy. The Artful Peace Practice (TAPP) is speaking through colors to process conflicts within ourselves to love unconditionally and live in peace and of course, have some fun! - Nikhat Qureshi #nikwrites #TAPPbyNikhat #artfulpeacepractice

"A FORGIVING HEART" - by Nikhat We are only able to process grief, loss and anger if we give ourselves space to breathe and reflect. We become overwhelmed by emotions and our actions as an outcome aren't aligned with our inner self. We struggle with our frustrations and unable to express in appropriate words we make matters worse and create miss understandings. My recent exercise using TAPP helped me process my inner conflicts and overwhelming negative emotions. As a result I... was able to create this pattern of hearts with my own name writing repeatedly in URDU NASTALIQ (a form of Arabic calligraphy script) along with drawing hearts in different colors. This allowed me with an insight of forgiving with humility and love in the Name of God. Hate and grudges are too much of a burden to bare for a heart that knows only love and love flowers and delicate beautiful things that God created. I am not at a place to forgive but I seek forgiveness n its more of an act if letting go for my own inner peace. - #ForgivingHeart #HeartbyNikhat #TAPP #TheArtfulPeacePractice #forgive #letgo #peace #mindfulness See more
