Have you heard about the Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) programs? Maybe your children have had us come to their schools to perform? We are very excited to have started rehearsals this week for our online TYA program that will be offered to schools not only in Dufferin County but all over. It is a very different process but we are thrilled that we can still bring the arts into schools. "Performing arts education is essential in the development of students' social, intell...ectual, physical and emotional growth. It is well documented that experiences in drama, dance and music help students to develop their ability to think critically and creatively. Performing arts play a valuable role in helping students achieve their potential as learners and to participate fully in their community and in society as a whole." Ontario Elementary Curriculum Here are a few pictures from the first few days of rehearsal. Set - Beckie Morris Costumes - Lisa Lahue #TYAtour #theatreforyoungaudiences #maxthemagnificentTOV #create
