This winter, Theatre Western will be presenting DRINK TO ME ONLY, by Ira Wallach and Abram S. Ginnes. Drink to Me Only is a comedy that surrounds the case of the playboy Jimmy Porterman, who is accused of shooting his seventh wife. Because of an expert's testimony, a successful defense hinges on proof that a man can drink two bottles of whiskey in twelve hours and still remain conscious. Miles Pringle, a young idealistic attorney in the firm, undertakes the task. Will they wi...n the case? Will the lawyer decide to drink two bottles of whiskey to find out for himself? You’ll have to wait to find out as you burst into laughter watching this amazing show! Theatre Western is proud to present our annual Purple Shorts Festival! What’s Purple Shorts you ask? It is Theatre Western’s original student-run One Act Festival! And we need YOU to help make this possible! We are looking for submissions of original one act plays as well as directors for them! We need 6 plays and 6 directors! Purple Shorts is a great way to be involved with Theatre Western but it doesn’t require too large of a time commitment!... Theatre Western is happy to be partnering with Operation Smile for their Mardi Gras Murder Mystery event TOMORROW NIGHT! This is a fun improv event that raises donations to help children in underdeveloped countries with cleft lip/palate surgeries! Come one, come all to our second Workshop of the year! We are hosting this workshop to help prepare you for the upcoming musical auditions! If you have any nerves about how auditions will be or if you want to warm up your skills before the real auditions, this is the event for you! We will be giving you tips and tricks on your monologue, song and dance portions of the audition, and help you with any questions for recording auditions or having them over Zoom! BIG UPDATE: Our OneRun Cabaret will now be on NOVEMBER 12th! We are moving the show back so that we can have the best and most safe performance possible. This is an amazing event that will be donating 100% of the proceeds to the OneRun charity that raises money in support of cancer patients and their families. We would love for you to be a part of this wonderful evening so send in your acts! Whether it be singing, dancing, comedy, magic, or anything in between, send it in! We can’t wait to see them. This event will be a compilation of different acts provided by YOU! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the amazing charity OneRun, that is based here in London. OneRun raises money in support of cancer patients and their families. How can YOU get involved in this great event? Send in your act(s) to audition to be apart of this wonderful cause. You can either send in a solo act or a group act of any kind! Please make... sure if you’re singing as a group that the members of your group are also members of your Covid social circle. As per the update by Western to move all club events to an online format, here is our answer to your questions... We are still in discussion with the USC on how to make theatre possible during these ever changing times. Our hope is that we will be able to produce a show in some form, but we cannot say for certain yet how that will work. Just know that we are doing everything we can to provide the same Theatre Western experience that you have come to expect, but be aware that ...there will be changes as the year progress. The Audition Workshop will still be running as planned, it will just be through Zoom. After you RSVP to the event we will be sending everyone the zoom invite via email the morning of September 19th. If you have any questions please feel free to message us, and we will be happy to respond!

Though we still have to keep our fall play a secret for now, we are in need of a creative team for it! We are looking for a passionate, organized enthusiastic director, stage manager and two assistant stage managers to work along our fall play producer and exec team to put on an incredible show. Though this years may have a few bumps in the road, we will still be bringing you high class entertainment and we want YOU to help us do just that.
