Hello music lovers! Here’s a free gift from Happy Jack Yoga! Jack and I rode the schoolbus together as we were growing up together in Gravenhurst, and he has since impacted many lives locally and worldwide through yoga, meditation and empowerment. His family is active at Trinity United Church in Gravenhurst where our organ series has been happening each August since 2013! For instance, Jack’s mum Reija currently offers Feldenkrais classes at the church and his music-loving stepson will soon be running our new screens during the Sunday church services as a trade-off for using the baby grand . Announcing our final recital of the 2019 Season! Recent Yale University grad, David Simon, graces our Casavant once again for an all-organ musical offering at the highest standard. If you want to hear what Trinity’s excellent Casavant pipe organ can do, don’t miss this finale performance! David Simon is the Organist of St. James Cathedral in Toronto. Concurrent to his church work, he has played recitals and accompanied choir tours across North America, Europe, the U.K., ...and Russia and has given premieres with the Toronto and New Haven Symphony Orchestras. In 2019, he won first prize in the Royal Canadian College of Organists national competition, and won first prize and audience prize in the University of Michigan organ improvisation competition. He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Organists (FRCCO) and received the Healey Willan Prize for top national achievement on the Fellowship examination. David is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Yale University, where he studied with Thomas Murray and Jeff Brillhart.

Such a wonderful recital Autumn & Blair! Humour and tragedy, musical ups and downs... our audience loved every moment and was enthralled from beginning to end. Thank you both for your excellent performances!
