George Brown has been working alongside Aurum Ceramic founder Hans (Hyo) Maier for 43 years, starting in the cast partial and denture department. When Hyo wanted to start his own Space Maintainers lab in 1981, he knew George would be the right man to lead it. Since then George has played an integral role in opening Space Maintainers Labs in Ottawa and Vancouver. George is still at the bench daily working on cases that require a special expertise. In 2003 at the age of 14, Ge...orge gave his son Andy an opportunity to work in the shipping and receiving department after school. Andy worked his way up from pouring models to eventually becoming a Co-Manager of Space Maintainers Calgary by 2015. He has been working side-by-side (in relative harmony ) with his father ever since. Here at The Aurum Group, we have quite a few family connections working alongside one another and we believe this helps us create a family-like atmosphere that we are proud of.
