The Balanced Athlete 04.10.2020

Hi! Jess here It’s been a while since I’ve grounded my followers around my intention on my social media platform, so I wanted to re-introduced myself. My PURPOSE: I am a challenger. I support those around me with strength and light, pushing them to be more than they ever thought possible - elevating their whole self, and their environment.... I want to use this platform to support those who want more from their life, who want to defy the odds of their upbringing, environment and assumed trajectory. I had a very humble upbringing and had to navigate some really difficult life stuff at a young age. I had to be smart - street smart. I taught myself "survival skills" that enabled me to break away from that life, grow quickly, sharpen my intuition and eventually achieve success. I have many flaws. I believe that those things about our personalities that serve us the best, always have a "counter flow" lurking in the shadows. I am programmed to get shit done. But that quality, misapplied, can just as readily hold me back in other areas of my life. I'm committed to being vulnerable, being real, sharing my journey and the most authentic version of ME. If i can inspire, support, or give hope to someone...then all this social media "how to" I'm researching will be worth it! . . . . . . . . #livebetter #smile #supportingyou #inspiration #mentalhealthfirst #happy #livingmylife #manifestation #liveinspired #onedayatatime #mylifestory #doepicshit #healthylifestyle #mylifemyadventure #kindness #mystory #minsetmatters #Careerwomen #Womeninfluence #minsetcoach #vulnerability #Womenwholead #Beboldbeyou #Createyourhappy #Startwhereyouare #Taketheplunge #Mindfultransformation #Behappyandsmile #intentionalliving

TRUTH BOMB It’s July... and 2020 is insanely different than I ever could have imagined I too have struggled with creating structure in days that seem to start as soon as I wake up and end when my stomach growls for dinner. The day-to-day pushes you out of balance with bigger, more important life buckets -> how are you doing with prioritizing and balancing what’s important to you!? I’d love to HEAR from YOU on what you’ve changed with your routine - and what’s WORKING to k...eep you balanced and afloatplease comment below . . . . 5 Changes I’ve Implemented: Morning routine, wake up early and start the day with the dogs using a calm approach Adding bookends to my workday - breakfast with the family and not opening my computer until 7:30am ending my day on time, shutting the laptop & having a plan for the evening reintroduce date nights - even if it’s cards and wine because we are still living in isolation reading books that inspire creativity and growth checking in with friends and family . . . . . #Careerwomen #Womeninfluence #Womenwholead #Womeninbiz #Smallbizsquad #Beboldbeyou #Createyourhappy #Startwhereyouare #Mylifemyway #Taketheplunge #Mindfultransformation #Behappyandsmile #intentionalliving #strikeabalance #liveyourbestlife #performancecoach #ironmantri #athletedevelopment #personalgrowthjourney #neverstopgrowing

I love this quote by Anais Nin Did you know... you hold the keys to your life story? Well obviously - but we as humans often limit our dreams, aspirations and goals. We struggle to see past our current capabilities, and as a result we dream small. I encourage you to look for inspiration, someone - or something - that inspire you to be courageous. Dig deep into yourself, build a plan & lean on friends/family... maybe even a coach! Finding the courage is the first step. Ex...ecution and adjusting the plan and expectations is just as hard - but I promise, you’re worth the risk! . . . . #courage #coaching #breakingfreeoffear #goals #possibility #womenwholead #professionalcoach See more

We all know them...The yes people who go out of their way to ensure they are liked by their co-workers and that their boss is happy even when things aren’t or look the other way when things go wrong. Unfortunately, it’s easier and often more rewarding to be a yes person; going with the flow and keeping your head down are common underlying currents in companies that suffer from yes person leadership. Eventually as the article points out; the behavior leads to the... decay of Company culture of which high turnover, low morale and poor performance are symptomatic. Great leaders have the courage to stand up for their beliefs, voice their opinion and do what’s right even when it’s difficult...actually especially when it’s difficult! If you’ve fallen into being the yes employee, I encourage you to reflect on the why’s. If you’re ready to make a change, build your backbone and be the leader you want to be I can help! #leadershipcoach #careercoach #buildyourconfidence #breakinfreeoffear #coachingonline #professionalcoach https://www.forbes.com//why-companies-must-hire-difficul/

To my clients, friends, colleagues (past and present) and broader network...I have been there. Losing your job is the worst, especially when it's a job you love that's lost for a reason you can't control. Nobody anticipates a global pandemic mid-career. As opposed to sharing just another "this too shall pass" meme, I put pen to paper and crafted something that I hope is both inspirational AND practical. So here's a bit of free coaching - no obligation. If you've lost your job - take just a few minutes to consider the possibility of it being an opportunity...an opportunity to take control and transform! #BreakingFreeOfFear #JobLoss #CoachingOnline #ProfessionalCoach #ExecutiveCoach #WomenWhoLead #CareerJourney #CareerSuccess #Goals #possibility The Balanced Athlete

With our lives upside down with self-isolation, and so much hatred happening - hitting the news the last few weeks...I encourage you to lean into self-care. You can control your mindset, and you’re responsible for your own happiness. Let’s not forget or place your self-care on the back burner! I’ve been sleeping 12+ hours (including naps) the last 10 days! . . . Are you showing up for yourself? Are you prioritizing your mental health?

You may not fully know what you desire, but your mind does. It's telling you in your subconscious...are you listening?
