There is several 4-H clubs in our area that are marketing their 4-H lambs and beef for market. So if you are wanting to fill your freezer, please consider cont...acting our local 4-H clubs in our area. Here is the list of clubs in our local area. Please contact them through Facebook/Instragram to get in touch with the leaders for purchasing some meat. **Please note** that some or all animals may be sold already. I just wanted to spread the word and support our 4H clubs. Airdrie Beef and Sheep, who is on instagram. @airdrie4hclub. This year they only have lamb projects and these kids have done an amazing job already and all meat is spoken for this year. Well done 4-H members. Just wanted to let you know how to contact them for next years sale. Balzac 4-H Beef Club who does have a Facebook Page Balzac 4-H Beef Club and I believe I saw them on Instagram as well. Crossfield Madden Beef Club also as a Facebook page Crossfield-Madden 4-H Beef Club They also have the Charity Steer this year and all proceeds are going to JDRF Alberta. As of right now all beef is sold, so please keep them in mind for next year. Irricana 4H Beef & Multi also has sheep projects for sale this year. No Beef. Please contact them Irricana 4H Beef & Multi Club if you are in search of lamb for your freezer. Cremona 4H Club is another club not too far from Airdrie. They are a bigger club with lamb and beef projects. Cremona 4H Club- Beef Project Cremona and Carstairs clubs together will have an online auction through Olds Auction on May 19th for Beef projects. All lamb projects are privately sold. So please contact this club for more details. Time TBA. Carstairs 4H Club at Carstairs & District 4-H Show and Sale. Please contact them directly for more info West Carstairs 4H Club as well as @westcarstairs4hclub So please contact these local 4H clubs. They all have been working very hard in getting their members projects marketed and sold as their 4H year as been effected by Covid 19. All show and sales have been cancelled so most sales are either auctions online or private sales directly with the club/members. There are many more clubs in and around Alberta. You can find them on the 4H Alberta website if I didn't mention a club around your area.
