Unicorn Sundae Available Starting Saturday July 4th Hey Everyone, We were approached by Capers&Friends who are taking part in the Make-A-Wish: Rope For Hope challenge in Halifax on October 3rd, (http://halifax.ropeforhope.ca).... They asked if we could come up with an ice cream treat to assist with their fundraising. Of course we wanted to help out this amazing cause, so this is what we have created: The Unicorn Sundae Moon Mist and Vanilla Soft Serve ice cream topped with Unicorn Dip -(Belgian bubblegum flavoured chocolate ) whipped cream, Wish sprinkles, and a gummy swirl candy. The Price is $5.50 plus tax and $1 from each Unicorn Sundae sold goes to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation Canada.

So today, June 6th, We are proud to say that The Bayside first opened 60 years ago!! First off, from the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank our customers, our staff, and our local suppliers, Thank You so much for your continued support, we wouldnt be here without you! We had originally planned to have a large celebration, but due to Covid-19 it wasnt possible and we will have to delay until a further date. ... We have had our challenges , especially with Dad passing last year. Our world was turned upside down, but we are trying our best to make him proud! Its tough, as we wish he was here to celebrate this accomplishment with us!! Last but not least, thank you to Greg and Anne Musial (our grandparents). They took a risk back 60 years ago and created a family business. Through hard work and perseverance they made the Bayside what it is today. Thank you !! Liz, Marc, & Brad

Hey Everyone We will be closed tomorrow ( Monday May 11th). We have run out of pretty much everything, and due to limited shipping days for product we wont be re-stocked until Tuesday. A month and a week delayed but.... Tomorrow Saturday, May 9th is Opening Day for 2020!! Things are going to be a little different this year, please see below for our new operating procedures during COVID-19. Operating Hours 12PM - 8PM. Service will be provided through the windows - Food on the right of the building and Ice Cream on the left. We are recommending that you call in food orders (902)862-6842 whenever possible - we will be taking names and calling you over the PA... system to come to the window to pick up when it's ready. This is just to avoid a large number of people waiting at the window and to keep our customers as safe as possible. We have placed line-up areas and painted white lines 6 ft apart to help with social distancing. We ask due to the extended lines (everyone 6 ft apart) in the front of the building that you dont park at the front window. NS Health and the CBRP are asking that customers take their food home, so we will not have our picnic tables out this spring - fingers crossed for later this summer. Also, some products at this time may not be available. Product has been hard to get, and have extended order times to get the product. This is all new to us as well, so please be patient with us as we work to meet the new safety guidelines. We are so excited to finally be opening and look forward to serving you this summer!!

A little bit of a rough one for us this year with dad not here to celebrate one of his favourite times of year. But we wanted to send out a Very Merry Christmas to all of our Customers, Staff, Friends and Family!

We are sad to say that next week will be our final week of our 2019 season. We will be closing Saturday October 12th, 2019. We would like to thank all our amazing & loyal customers, staff & family for yet another great season!! We would also like to thank everyone again for all the kind words that have been said, either on Facebook, in passing, or at the window at the Bayside. It truly made the months go by a little easier. Next year marks our 60th year in business. A cele...bration that will be a bittersweet one for us, with the void that will be there with out dad around. We will take the winter to regroup, clear our heads, fix some things that need to be done around the building, and get to planning some celebrations for next season. Hey Everyone the pineapple will be down for the night. The barrel keeps freezing up. I am going to fix it in the morning, and hopefully back to working tomorrow. Its a new product and we are using an older style machine for It so there is a huge learning curve. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This was one of the last projects dad and I talked about doing. We were actually supposed to launch it last week. Its Pineapple Soft Serve, its Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Lactose-free, and really yummy! We reopen tomorrow at 11am. Thanks!

Hey Everyone, This is the hardest post I have had to make. But, due to a death in our family we will be closed for the week, and aiming to open Jun 15th.... New Ice Cream Sandwiches!! Chocolate Ice Cream squished between 2 Ropeks Bakery chocolate chip cookies, dipped in Red Velvet Dip, then rolled in Nilla Dust! Vanilla Ice Cream squished between 2 Ropeks Bakery Sugar cookies, dipped in Grandmas Fudge Dip, then rolled in Frosted Flakes!... We also now have our new ice cream machine setup...We are still learning how to use it, but we have Chocolate Soft Serve, and can now do a Vanilla and Chocolate twist!!! Thanks The Bayside
