August 17/18-2018 Yoga with goats?? JUST KIDDING... SUP yoga is where it's at! Here's what we need you to do! 1. Read Below 2. Decide if you're beginner or intermediate 3. Call the beach shop @ 250-551-7282 to reserve your spot! (limited spots available)... BEGINNER SUP YOGA: In this introductory 60-minute class, nature is your yoga studio and your board is your mat! Learn the basics of stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and then find your balance and bliss by participating in a beginner Vinyasa yoga practice on board. All asanas (yoga poses) are modifiable to accommodate varying levels of paddlers and yogis! No experience necessary! Practicing yoga on a paddleboard brings a whole new perspective to being fully present in the moment and experiencing balance in life. When you practice yoga on the water, transitions are slowed and core engagement and proper alignment are emphasized in order to maintain balance amid nature’s elements. Class starts at 8:30 am (please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to complete waivers and be guided through brief on land instructions and demonstrations). $30 per class this registration INCLUDES yoga specific SUP board rental and all necessary gear including anchors). INTERMEDIATE SUP YOGA: This progressive 60 minutes class is designed for those paddlers and yogis who wish to challenge themselves a little further. Develop better balance, coordination, and body strength by linking Ujjayi Pranayama (breath) to asanas (physical postures) through a series of sun salutations in this energizing and dynamic Vinyasa class. The connection with movement and breath will allow you to experience a sense of peace and tranquility as we flow through this series with the sky above and the water beneath us. The class culminates with blissful relaxation on your board. Class starts at 10:00 am (please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to complete waivers and be guided through brief on land instructions and demonstrations). $30 per class this registration INCLUDES yoga specific SUP board rental and all necessary gear including anchors).
