Ok ladies. Your lash extensions can no longer be filled for the time being with the essential services businesss being mandated to close for the time being. With that said, we will all be engaging in some type of mascara use! PLEASE, for the sake of your lash tech, and the integrity of your lashes, do NOT use waterproof mascara! WHY IS WATERPROOF MASCARA BAD FOR YOU? 1. Its has extremely harsh ingredients & causes damage! It will dry out your lashes and cause them to be... brittle and break off. Broken lashes = short stubby lashes! 2. Its very difficult to remove. You can use THE best makeup remover on the market and it STILL wont come off! This leads to aggressive rubbing and tugging thats not only damaging to your lashes, but to your whole eye area. 3. Its hard on your entire eye area - trying to remove it can damage the delicate area around your eyes. This in turn will lead to premature aging, fine lines and wrinkles and dehydration! 4. Its NOT suitable for everyday wear - think of the top 3 points above, and multiply that damage day after day! NOT GOOD! SO WHAT SHOULD I DO INSTEAD? I recommend using a water-RESISTANT mascara. This type does just as good a job as waterproof. It will withstand moisture, but is not completely waterproof. It will withstand sweat in the gym, or a bit of tearing, and its a lot gentler on the eyes and is a million times easier to remove than waterPROOF! This type of mascara will come off with your regular makeup remover or cleanser. With EASE. So unless youre planning on being submerged in a pool or the ocean/lake for a length of times, water-resistant mascara is just fine. Want to secure yours? DM me for information! These retail for $21. Not only in pandemics like this, but each and every day, do I take the utmost pride in providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for all my clients. This is very important in the world of aesthetics each and EVERY SINGLE DAY, not just in times like this! ... What I do ask, is that when you arrive at your appointment, you head straight to the rest room and thoroughly wash your hands. As always, I will provide hand sanitizer to each nail client PRIOR to their service (have for 13 years, and will continue to do so!) My implements are always sterilized and disinfected for lash application as well as tools used for nails. My lights will be cleaned in between each client as well. What I do ask is that if youve travelled outside of Lethbridge, you have ANY type of symptom of a cold or flu, that you reschedule your appointment for no sooner than 2 weeks. I will also ask that you come to your appointment alone - that means no children, friends or other guests for the time being. I appreciate everyones cooperation with this. These things are VERY important to me, as I work from home where I try to keep my family safe and healthy.
