(Long Post) This is me! > & my little fam Hello... For those who are new here, or don’t know much about me, my name is Aliah McCormick and I am the owner of my home studio, The Beauty Room. My space was created to make you feel comfortable & to leave confident. I attended Lambton College, receiving my diploma through a 2 year program with the Esthetician program. I have received a second diploma attending one of Toronto’s state-of-the-art facilities, Complections International School of Makeup Art & Design. Makeup courses were all taught by award-winning instructors, and was a dream of an experience! After venturing to Toronto, I moved back to my home city bringing my originality and creativeness of my craft with me. I worked at Caryl Baker Visage for a little over 5 years, and managed to become Team Lead the last two of those years, learning to administer all aspects of business. Through this company I was fortunate enough to do a 6-week management program in Toronto, obtained two Lash Extension Certifications and had frequent training/certifications through our practises. This business allowed me not only to gain so much experience, but a lot of drive to open my own space where I could be my own Leader. I ventured to Toronto after leaving, to acquire yet another certification for Lash Extensions, making me triple-lash certified. I opened The Beauty Room in 2018 and never looked back. I became a Wife over the years, and a Mother to a beautiful little boy, with a little girl on the way. I am still challenging, educating & pushing myself to be the best person, friend, partner, mentor, mother, and reputable business owner I can be. The support and love I get from my family, husband & clients have shown me that trusting yourself and your intuitions will only allow for bigger and better opportunities .
