We've received an update from Lynne at National Service Dogs. NSD Beckett is doing well with his training and is on track to attend NSD university next year. He has also been attending dance lessons with his puppy raiser and keeps getting invited back each week. That might PAWsibly be the cutest thing we've heard.

To anyone considering suicide, believe you are needed in this world. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
Remembering you on your 20th birthday
Very interesting piece. Practice intellectual humility https://www.bbc.com//why-we-all-fall-foul-of-the-dunning-k
A basic principle of the indigenous world view is that all things in the universe are connected. We believe that we are a part of everything and that everythi...ng in the natural world is aliveconsciouseven the stones, the Earth, the stars. Westerners seem to isolate themselves and think they are separate from their environment. They believe that portions of creation can be isolated from other parts; that one set of people is separate from another set; or that people are different from the animals. In the Western view, it doesn’t matter what happens to animals because we’re apart from them; superior, actually. In the indigenous world viewor what I would call realitywe are all a part of creation. The universe is unified. It’s inaccurate to think you can separate pieces out. Modern human beings are the only species who have forgotten that. When we remember, we live in balance and strive for harmony with all things. That is the most fundamental difference between the Western and indigenous world view." ~Spencer Martin (Se Olum)
Let's spread kindness in memory of Tori Stafford
Family, friends & teachers might recognize some of Beckett's favorite t-shirts in the memorial quilt we had made. Each one has special meaning and memory
"He is the sweetest, smartest, most affectionate boy" How Beckett's puppy raiser describes him. His development is going well despite having to train remotely during the pandemic. We're so proud of you NSD Beckett Already making a difference in people's lives.
Now, more than ever, be kind, empathetic and tolerant. Stand up for what is right and good.
Thank you to those who acknowledged Beckett's anniversary yesterday. The assumption is it's a much more painful day than every other. Not so...because his memory was very much alive yesterday, it hurt a little less. Family and friends were reaching out, sharing pictures, stories and memories. It eased the pain, even if only for a day. One of a bereaved mom's biggest fears is her child will be forgotten. Thank you for showing me that's not likely to happen
09/08/00 - 04/26/18 My mind still speaks to you, my heart still looks for you, but my soul knows you're at peace. ... You will always be so loved and missed.
We received an update today about National Service Dog trainee Beckett. He is doing really well with his training and is a very good boy. Like his namesake he is smart, gentle and making people's lives better
