Another news update about the 2021 tax freeze. BIG THANKS to Julie with Queen Alexandra Community League for helping keep all of these facilities open. Stay tuned to QAC's Rollie Miles Park project. Its success is a litmus test on how Eastglen might get funding for future improvement projects. https://globalnews.ca//edmonton-passes-2021-budget-with-0-
This survey is specific to Edmontonians who use the benefits of their community league membership to access recreational facilities like Eastglen Pool. Not sure how the city will use this information, but they think it's important enough to have us fill out a survey about it. Please direct any questions or concerns you might have to EFCL.
Now available for Bellevue residents as well!
AMAZING NEWS!!! Great work to everyone involved. We couldn't of done this without all of the community support.
IMPORTANT NEWS: The weather is beautiful till Saturday. Afternoon walks and waving hello to neighbours, while maintaining a safe distance, is highly encouraged.
Thanks for the vote Councillor Nickel. Let's keep Eastglen Pool open!

Attn: Videographers / Editors ! The Bellevue Community League is planning a series of intimate music concerts in our own Bellevue Lounge - which will be professionally recorded (video & audio) for a new YouTube channel... If you check out Northern Sessions or Live on KEXP on YouTube for some great examples of this genre... These concerts will eventually lead to the safe return of live music events in The Bellevue Lounge - an important part of the Bellevue / Virginia Park / ...Highlands communities... Concerts will be recorded by Edmontone Recording Studio, and we are looking for a few more volunteers in the videographer / editor category... If you are interested in helping us with this project, please get in touch!

Provincial recommendations for Halloween Stay safe and scared -- but in a fun way! Don't hand out candy if feeling ill or isolating.... Wear a mask that fully covers your nose and mouth. Ask trick-or-treaters to knock or call out instead of ringing the doorbell. Use tongs to hand out pre-packaged candy to avoid handling treats. Find creative ways to maintain distance from trick-or-treaters. Please share your ideas here! https://www.alberta.ca/halloween-during-covid19.aspx
September is Alberta's month to celebrate artists. Learn what's happening in your community @albertaculturedays. Big thanks to @ashleightaillefer and @susanspyker for representing Bellevue at the Arts on the Farm. #community #artbylocals

Hi neighbours! We've heard concerns in the neighbourhood about theft, vandalism and homelessness and thought it would be helpful to share some resources so that we can take positive action when we need to. We all have a role to play in keeping our community safe, and in helping those in need. If you, or someone else needs help, here are some numbers to remember: Call 211 to connect with community services. 211 is a free, confidential service that provides information and ref...erral to a wide range of community, social health and government services. Call 311 to report concerns to the City of Edmonton. 311 is Edmonton’s non-emergency phone line for City government information and services and for bylaw complaints. It provides residents, businesses and visitors with ease of access through a central point of contact for their city needs. Call 780-423-4567 or #377 from an Edmonton mobile device when you need to report a crime to police that's NOT an emergency situation. Some examples: If you see a person regularly sleeping in public areas, call 211 and press 3 for the 24/7 Crisis Diversion. To report vandalism, call 311, or the police non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 To report a break-in or other crime that is not in progress, call 780-423-4567 or #377 For a complete list of situations, and who to call, visit: https://www.edmonton.ca//neighbourhood-response-resource.p Please remember: 911 is for emergencies where life, safety, or property is in immediate danger or there is a crime in progress. Why should we report? It is important to report non-emergency crimes, bylaw infractions or City property that needs attention. If we report it, the City and police can provide help in the future. If we don't, the City won't have the data it needs to make funding and resourcing decisions.
The Alberta government has closed all schools and daycares. Read more at the link below.
