You might notice a pop up page when you get to the website to join our emailing list, would love if you could join. To be honest, I’ve been getting a little tired of the social media lately so I thought an email reminder might be better suited for those who are also taking a bit of a breather. Oh hey! It’s been a while! We’re baking again and thought you should know. I’ve stocked the website with our classic sourdough and pizza dough. Pick up will be at the sweetest shop around, you know the one... @sweetlotw preorder weekly bread online at www.theblackoven.ca before Monday 9AM and then pick up Tuesday between 11:30AM-5PM. It’s also fine if you need to stock up on chocolate covered jujubes and eat the entire pack in one sitting. No judgment. We’re in this together

Hope everyone had a great long weekend we wanted to say one more big thanks for coming down to our final pizza night last Thursday! Thanks to everyone who purchased a market bag, $625 is going directly to @compassionate_kenora It’s time to take a minute to get ready for winter but stay tuned for bread updates in the coming weeks.

For our final Pizza in the Park this Thursday we want to say thank you by promoting positivity within our community and by supporting our local food system. Two things that we feel very strongly about. We will have Market Bags available for $25 (preorder only) on the website filled with local love from Loewen’s Farm and bread from us. ALL proceeds will go directly to @compassionate_kenora Compassionate Kenora is a radically inclusive, culturally-rooted, community driven app...roach to achieving Mino-Bimaadiziwin (The Good Life) Compassionate Kenora aims to unite the compassionate of Kenora, to encourage one another, and spur-on action. As a collective they evaluate and respond to social and systemic issues through harm reduction, community engagement, & compassion for all in Kenora and surrounding communities. Farmers markets are where we started and we see the benefit of supporting our local food system by using local ingredients whenever we can. Our local farmers provided us with some amazing produce this summer and we are so grateful for these hardworking, family operated farms in Northwestern Ontario. All pizzas are $12 this week.
