*** SUPER FUN STORY ALERT ~ Memories of live music ~ This is Levon. He is 10yrs old in this photo. He came to see me at the blacksheep in Wakefield QC on a cold... winter night in 2006. If I recall the story correctly, it was near the end of the show and the police came in and made him leave for being under age. So he stood outside watching through the window in the cold. The window is behind the stage at the Black Sheep so the whole audience had to watch me perform with him behind peering in. It felt ridiculous and I insisted they let him in. I thought What can they do if I bring him on stage? They can’t walk up, stop the show and drag him out in front of everyone". So I brought him up and we sat together on the edge of the stage and sang the encore together. For some reason... I think (?) we sang Ashes to Ashes (Bowie) by his request. What ever the details are, Levon in now 24yrs old and getting married TODAY! Congratulations Levon, you look so happy! I wish I was there to sing with you again. If I knew where the wedding was I’d crash it! All the best friend! #memoriesoflivemusic
