Please call for convenient free pickup/delivery , locally and out of town ** We rely on donor blankets to keep costs down so if you have any beyond repair we will gladly take them off your hands. All blankets and bum/leg straps are inspected, dehaired, scrubbed and hosed prior to being cold water washed/rinsed with ecofriendly/biodegradeable , fluorocarbon free Nikwax rug wash. You then have the option of a sponged on Nikwax restorative waterproofing treatment or a spray boost for questionable blankets where the membrane is damaged/ compromised. We recommend re-treating your blanket every 2-3 years depending on how often you use it and how dirty it gets. But with age, there comes a time when no type/amount of water repellent will work and we will advise you at that time. The blankets are then hung and air dryed to preserve waterproofing and prevent fading, damage and shrinkage. Detailing includes hand cleaning Velcro & hair in seams/trim. Buckles, surcingles, clips, leg/bum straps and other hardware is inspected to ensure proper functionality. If I see something that needs attention that you haven't mentioned on your service tag, I will call you before any repair. Prior to the final packing we do one more inspection and apply a sealer to any outside repairs and minor scuffs to prevent water penetration. [email protected]
