Hey y'all, peace, love and prosperity to all. It's been a little while since our last post, with the changes, challenges, adaptations and triumphs of the current world, we've been in the grassroots, reaching out to the community on the down low. With that being said, we wanted to reach out to y'all to send love and encouragement as we progress into our best future. Our building is closed and will remain that way for now but our hearts are open and we are with you. Thank you a...ll for your support, our online community has been growing lately and we are happy to be in this shift with all of you. We are planning small, socially distanced poetry sessions in July and we'll be drumming with our brother Nelson downtown. We'll keep you in the loop. Keep your head up, keep positive, position yourself on the right side of history and trade what you don't know/understand, for knowledge. Peace

Did you know The Green Bean Café is donating 10% of the sales of their grilled cheese sandwich and organic Fair trade coffee to The Bloomfield House? Totally awesome! If you'd like to support The Bloomfield House, as we renovate our store front and move closer to opening our community space, get down to Green Bean and get yourself a grilled cheese and a coffee.

Coming up this Saturday! 2 events to benefit The Bloomfield House I have 10 tickets left for the Black History event, hosted and organized by our amazingly g...enerous friends at UNIFOR ($15 includes a delicious soul food mean ) The second poster is an after party organized by the Windsor Branch of The IWW. There are no tickets for the after party, just pay what you can, at the door. If you enjoy singing and dancing you don't want to miss the karaoke dance party. Starting this week, every time you order a cup of our Fair-Trade Organic Coffee or a Grilled Cheese Sandwich (traditional or vegan), The Green Bean Cafe will be... donating 10% of the sale to a community organization. The MCSS program will feature a new organization to fundraise each month, allowing us to raise awareness through everyday operations of the cafe and highlight some of Windsor's most inspiring local initiatives. During February, these proceeds will be presented to The Bloomfield House in Windsor's west end, a collective grounded in grassroots community outreach initiatives. Since 2013, The Bloomfield House has been taking a people-centred approach to holistic community organizing and providing a safe and accessible space for human growth. Trick or Treat!!!! Tonight at Mackenzie Hall! Join us from 6pm - 8pm and enjoy a dry, warm, family Halloween. If you bought candy and "FEAR" you might not get any trick or treaters, join us at Mackenzie Hall. Set your candy on one of our tables, and hand it out to your hearts desire.

We are hosting a trick or treat event in Sandwich Town, for the kids.

Friendly heads up I'm organizing a Halloween, trick or treat event in Sandwich Town for the kids. I'll share more details soon but it will be hosted around th...e gazebo, next to Mackenzie Hall from 6pm - 8pm. We're handing out candy, playing music, sharing ghost stories and giving out prizes for the most interesting costumes. If youd like to be involved or support in any way, we need people to hand out candy/donate candy, dress up in costume, serve hot chocolate, share ghost stories and generally help to create a fun and safe space for all. Out here grinding the life back into The Bloomfield House. Check out the Conga's, these drums joined the family early in the game. Back before there was a Bloomfield House, these drums lived in the corner of my bedroom. If anyone is willing and able to contribute to the houses resurrection, the outside of the building needs to be power washed and painted. I'm (Teajai) putting that out to the Universe

What's up, everyone! It's been a long time since we grooved. I (Teajai) have been grinding inside the house, to create a creative space to welcome folks into. In the coming weeks I'll be sending out invites for a community jam. Keep your ear's to the wheel. See y'all soon.
