Lea sent me this yesterday. It’s a good prayer for the season. Peace to you all! #WearAMask

Eric has recently had surgery to rebuild his hip. The recovery is long and painful, so please pray for him as his body heals. Krista is looking after him and their four kids and ordinarily we’d be all about taking them food but in these covid times we’ve decided to do money for door dash instead. If you can give to that fund that would be awesome. @deezach (Deanne Zacharias) is making the collection so contact her to arrange $ transfer. We hope you can join us tomorrow for our penultimate Beatitudes morning. We’ll be hearing from Saskia Wishart, who has many years of experience working with marginalized people in many different settings. She considers our church family her spiritual home and we are delighted she sees it that way. Invites are in your inbox or check your junk if not. See you at 9:30am for kids and 10:30am for adults. DM if you’d like an invite.... #beatitudes #gatheredchurch

The Renfer family - Thomas, Michele & Felix - are asking we pray for them as they have COVID-19. Thomas is feeling pretty rough today, Michele and Felix aren’t doing too bad right now. Thanks for praying. Michele says they don’t need anything practically at this point but I’ll let you know if that changes. Lord, have mercy! #community #prayer

‘WW1 and WW2 all happened before I was born. I vaguely remember the Vietnam war so other than movies my real connection with the sacrifices honoured on November 11th is through my son’s time in the Canadian military and his deployment to Afghanistan. I feel his pain when he talks about his soldier friends who died on their peace keeping mission. Let’s remember those lost and pray for those who made it through.’ Dean Richmond Image description: a field of red poppies... #RemembranceDay

Saskia opened our eyes, expanded our thinking, and challenged our hearts this morning. It deserves another listen for sure. Thanks so much @saskiacw I’ll let you know when the podcast is out, but subscribe now, and likely you’ll know before I do. Search for The Bridge Church (Abbotsford) Podcast wherever you listen to podcasts. In the meantime, these are the action points she concluded with. See: Everyday peacemakers see the humanity and dignity and image of God in everyone.... Contend: Everyday peacemakers contend not by getting even, but getting creative in love. Immerse: Everyday peacemakers move toward conflict with tools to heal rather than to win Restore: Everyday peacemakers share tables with former enemies and celebrate the big and small ways God is restore our broken world The Global Immersion Project https://globalimmerse.org #beatitudes #gatheredchurch
