When we were young we always looked for people to show us how to live. How do I be a human? How do I play this game? But the trouble is, we never stop compa...ring We still constantly watch to see what is right, so we can fit in, so we can be correct and perfectly aligned with someone else. This whole concern with other people means we never examine if it’s right and true for us. It’s tribal, right? We look to see those in our group and this can be in any aspect of life: What are those other mums/kayakers/drummers/builders/knitters/writers (etc) doing? Firstly, The last thing the world needs is more of the same! Secondly, Who are you trying to impress? Who are you trying to align with? Do you truly want to? Is it a higher standard that you want to emulate? Or because you think you should and that’s how you fit in? Now if it’s a should How about aligning with the source of wisdom and truth within yourself instead? That’ll take bravery. But it’s the only path that means satisfaction and peace. The reward is that you’re not constantly self-evaluating and managing and neurotic and tense. You just are, purely you. And you DO have that source within you. That is why you must take the inner journey. So you can form a connection with your higher Self, and trust it to lead. The way forward is within you.
