The wife got me some tongs for christmas. I've tried making my own, but after using these I realize I was starting with too small stock, which explains why they always seemed under performing. Quick video of me working on the tang on my current knife project.

Had a chance to get my new propane setup up and running. Wasnt sure I did everything right in the fabricating, but once it gets up to temp it works great! The hairs on my arm will grow back eventually. Straightened out some coil spring and started drawing it out for a touch-mark punch and dagger I've been wanting to try making.

I got tired of breathing in coal dust, so I'm converting to propane. Here's the trial run of my new ribbon burner. The jet block is made from wood just to test the function, and will be cast in refractory cement when finalized.

First knife! Certainly not a kitchen knife, and still needs final sharpening (hence the blue to mark high spots), but pretty happy with the final result
